The 14th National Symposium on Molecular and Structural Characterization of Polymers of the Chinese Chemical Society was held in Hefei from March 29 to 31, 2024. The conference aims to jointly discuss the cutting-edge issues and future trends in polymer characterization and related research fields, pay attention to the opportunities and challenges of polymer characterization and related research in the new era, and showcase the latest achievements and progress in China's polymer research field.
This meeting covers the Polymer Industry Technology Forum, Young Scientists Innovation Forum, advanced light source characterization methods and applications, polymer solutions, sols and gel, polymer surfaces and interfaces, polymer molecules and structure characterization, polymer structure performance relationship, etc. Dong Zheng, a member of the HEPS beamline software group at the Institute of High Energy, Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the meeting and gave a 15 minute oral presentation titled "Six dimensional tensor diffraction imaging acceleration algorithm". He also answered questions from the on-site attendees. The report introduces the recent progress of the research group in six dimensional tensor diffraction imaging methodology, as well as the application of methodology in biomaterial characterization. It also looks forward to the application planning of new methodologies in new light sources and actively seeks cooperation with domestic peers, which has aroused widespread interest and attention from the attending experts at the conference.
