On April 28th, the first user committee meeting of High Energy Synchrotron Radiation (HEPS) was held at the HEPS Comprehensive Experimental Building in Huairou Science City. 24 academicians and experts from 20 units, including Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China, Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics, Shanghai Jiaotong University, National Nanoscience Center, and relevant personnel from Huairou District Government, Huairou Science City Management Committee, competent departments of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the meeting.
The meeting will arrange a progress report and discussion session on the construction of the first batch of HEPS beamline stations. Tao Ye provided a detailed introduction to the situation of each station, including scientific objectives, station characteristics, performance parameters, experimental methods, construction progress, etc., and answered questions from experts and absorbed their suggestions.
At this meeting, Zhang Yi of the HEPS beamline software system led the members of the user committee to visit the deployment of the new generation experimental control and data acquisition software Mamba at the BE line station. The attendees also conducted on-site inspections on the display of X-ray detectors and optical components in HEPS, gaining a more intuitive understanding of the construction progress of the BE line station. The user committee fully affirmed and appreciated the progress of the construction work of the BE line station.
