From August 26 to 31, the 15th International Conference on Synchrotron Radiation Instrumentation (SRI) was held in Hamburg, Germany in 2024. Zhang Yi, Zhang ChengLong, Li Chun, Dong Zheng, Li PengCheng, Bian LingZhu, Wang LiWen, Pan XinYu from the Beamline software group attended the meeting.
Eight people attended a total of 37 sessions,3 keynote speeches, and 11 plenary lectures. Zhang Yi, Zhang Chenglong, Li Chun and Dong Zheng gave oral reports. Zhang Yi took the theme of "The Mamba Software and AI for Science Project for HEPS" and introduced the application of Mamba and AI, a new generation of experimental control and data acquisition software system in synchrotron radiation beamline stations. Zhang ChengLong introduced the dispatching network and processing system Mamba Data Worker for HEPS high-throughput big data with the theme of "The Introduction to Mamba Data Worker: The Data Streaming Software Framework for HEPS". Li Chun introduced the image processing algorithms developed to meet the challenges of big data in light source facilities with the theme of "Image Processing for Exascale Synchrotron Science". Dong Zheng introduced a new 6D X-ray wide-angle diffraction tensor tomography method with the theme of "Algorithm-Accelerated Six-Dimensional WAXD Tensor Tomography". Li PengCheng, Bian LingZhu, Wang LiWen and Pan XinYu presented posters.
SRI is a unique, large and most important international forum in the field of synchrotron radiation (SR) and free-electron lasers (XFEL) held every three years. It is the leading forum emphasizing the connection between synchrotron radiation instrumentation, science and society. It also provides an opportunity for discussion and collaboration for scientists and engineers around the world involved in the development of new concepts, technologies and instrumentation related to synchrotron radiation and free-electron laser research.
